‘21st century vanity project’ - March 2021

A series of cyanotypes on recycled cotton rag paper, to raise money for the campaign against HS2

Oakmass print - 1,459,000 tonnes of CO2 that will be emitted during HS2’s construction 693 Classified Local Wildlife Sites. Destroying these areas will result in the extinction of local endangered species. The average journey cost will be between £180 and £240. That’s about 6p a second 120 years - the time it’ll take before the HS2 line is carbon neutral

880 homes & 985 business. And 19,590 jobs permanently displaced. 108 Ancient Forests! This print focuses on the destruction of vital ecosystems, that often take thousands of years to develop. £108 Billion... a budget that continues to grow. HS2 will destroy 33 SSSIs - areas that are ‘protected’, contain rare flora & fauna, ancient trees, & sometimes rare geological features.




Ruptures & Resilience exhibition, Digbeth Community Garden, Birmingham - June 2021


Lead curator

A group exhibition exploring how HS2 is affecting community, homes and habitats, and the fight against it. This show was held at the Digbeth community garden, just a few streets away from where the new HS2 Curzon Street Station is currently being built. The project brought together myself and eight other artists and activists from across the UK, working with a variety of media, ranging from soundscapes to sculpture, performance art to prints. The project was a FINT (female, intersex, nonbinary, trans) project supporting the work of FINT artists.
